Williams 1 Darryl Williams Owen Rockwell MUS 205-10 22 April 2010 Jam Session I attended an R&B/soul style concert at the Legacy, which is located on the campus of Jackson State University. The concert was held on the sixth of April, 2010 at 1:00pm. Anissa Hampton was the headliner and in the background was a live band. The band consisted of: Cliff Graham and Will Brown who played the keyboards, Adrian Mitchell was the lead guitarist, Carroll McLaughlin was the bass guitarist, Steven Maben played on the drum set, Bobby Connor played the saxophone, and the three backup singers were Tiffany Williams, Larry Johnson, and Justin Spencer. All together, this group of musicians put on a wonderful show. They were quite entertaining, because they were very energetic and played very well. If they did make any mistakes, besides the saxophone player showing up late, I doubt that anyone would be able to tell. Hampton sang seven old school and soulful songs. The concert was split into two parts. The first part consisted of four songs. The first song was “I'll Take You There,” written by Alvertis Isbell,
