The Radicalism of the American Revolution The American Revolution was the greatest and one of the basis of many other revolution after it. As well as helping our own nation in the rights of slavery, African Americans, and women rights. It was a set revolution for the world to use as an example of for how a real revolution should go about. As great, tremendous, and powerful of a revolution, it was also the most pre-modern revolution ever. “They made speeches, not bombs; they wrote learned pamphlets, not manifestos.” (Page 3) It was pre-modern in the sense that the colonies were more traditional than England and that they lack of many things in their hierarchy that they had . The American colonies wanted to be so much like their mother country, that they were becoming a better England in traditional ways. “In some respects colonial society was more traditional than that of the mother country.” (Page 12) They thought of themselves more as
