“The Green Mile” is more focused on the execution of victims who are innocent rather than hearing the voice of the little man. You never can believe in your own opinion because the thoughts of those with higher power will always win the battle. The situations that went on in this movie, and the way our society is today we can all learn from this now so that in the future we can prevent it, and have the courage to speak for what is right. As I watched the movie “The Green Mile” it reminded me of the society we live in today. This movie was about a guy (Paul Edgecomb) who worked as a correctional officer in charge of death row inmates at Cold Mountain Penitentiary during the summer of 1935. The cell block that Paul worked on was called “The Green Mile” because the condemned prisoners walking to their execution are said to be walking “the last mile” to the electric chair. This puts me in the mind of those people today in society who are accused for crimes that they really didn’t do, and they get punished for something someone else may have did. For
