Strategic Business Plan Introduction The purpose of this plan is to set obtainable goals for those at Carlwood Safety to achieve. In a global market, it is imperative that an organization have a clear plan that will be used to expand customer base and increase profitability. This plan is also meant to cover previous and future financial positions of Carlwood. The current global economy is experiencing uncertainty, yet our company has continued to grow and enter into new market sectors previously not recognized by our group. As the current economic state continues to take its toll on business they are looking at programs to reduce costs; we are finding that improving the way these companies purchase and manage maintenance, repair, and operating (MRO) products and services presents Carlwood with a unique opportunity to reduce costs and improve productivity. Carlwood has been a beacon of hope in helping customers meet these challenges by providing access to an extensive offering of MRO products and services. Our customer base has continued to grow due to the cost savings and expertise we continue to provide. We consider no job too big or too small and as we continue to expand, we will remain conscious and cautious to control our expenses to further pass on valuable savings. Though many of our competitors have been forced to reduce their operations and consolidate their business, we have continued to exceed expectations and expand our local, regional, and global presence. This plan has been developed to point out opportunities for growth as well as areas the company may be vulnerable within the market place against its competitors or due to under capitalization. The strategic plan is meant to serve as an informational tool and give a broad overview of current and future goals. In an effort to fully meet the needs of our customers, we have them sub-divided into market segments to determine the type of materials used specifically for those segments. This allows us to forecast requirements and stay ahead of our customers’ needs by having the products available when needed. Executive Summary Carlwood Safety, Inc. Page 3 10/27/11
