How does your diet compare to the recommendations you received from the Food Guide Pyramid? How many servings from each food group did you consume? My diet compared to the recommendations I received from the Food Guide Pyramid is lacking in the fruits, fluctuating in the meats and beans, nearly perfect for milk, fluctuating in the vegetables, and started out low then high and finishing just below on the grains. The average consumption of each group is as follows: o Grains- 2.6 oz o Vegetable- 2.1 cup o Fruit- 0 cup o Milk- 2.2 cup o Meat and Beans- 5.3 oz How might you modify your diet to get the recommended servings for each food group? What are some nutrient-rich foods that you could add to your daily diet? I should modify my diet to include more fruits. I could do this by cutting out some meats and beans, and vegetables.
