For some people, eating healthy consists of eating unsubstantial meals that consist of vegetables, fruits, and a little bit of meats and potatoes which is not suitable for men and growing boys; other people, eating healthy means pleasing the body with an assortment of colorful fruits and vegetables which will help guard against disease. While I was doing my healthy eating plan, I was shocked to see that while I thought I was eating healthy, I actually am not eating as healthy as I should be. I currently do not have what you would call a healthy eating habit. I have replaced vegetable oil with extra virgin olive oil, and in place of eating fried foods, I will grill or bake them also. We do still consume a lot of potatoes, rice, and pasta but we only cook these maybe twice a week and will limit how often we will have them in a month’s time. I have learned that my fiancé can eat more than I can, and it will not bother his weight at all. I have done research on this and found that this is because a man’s metabolism is much different than a woman’s. I am very concerned about my weight because with my height and weight being where it is, I am at a higher risk for health issues such as type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart disease. I currently do not have any health issues, but along with the three listed, I know I am prone to high cholesterol due to the fact that it runs in my fathers side of

the family, as well as diabetes running in my mothers side of the family. According to the My Plate Daily Food Plan I was surprised
