I. Executive Summary RANDS Inc. is a start up company that specializes in diapers. The diapers that are produced are unique diapers that turn blue to indicate that the diaper has been soiled. RANDS Inc. aims to provide the highest quality product to allow comfort for the babies wearing the diapers, while also providing convenience for caretakers. The company was founded by an experienced group of individuals, including: CEO David Comberiate, R&D manager Rachel Adams, accounting and finance managerSean High, human resources manager Nick Matera, and marketing manager Ariel Nguyen, who have dedicated their time and money into beginning and successfully operating RANDS Inc. Blue Bottoms are convenient and durable diapers that are aimed to attract new parents, busy parents, and secondary caretakers. RANDS Inc. strives to have a good relationship with their customers by setting competitive and low prices for consumers. Although RANDS Inc. is a small company, Blue Bottom diapers are comparable to top competitor diapers including those made by Proctor and Gamble and Kimberly Clark. II. Company Summary The primary nature of the business is to sell disposable color changing baby diapers. The company’s intention is to provide a high quality diapers with great features that will meet the needs of our customers. Company Ownership RANDS is a partnership founded by Dave Comberiate, Ariel Nguyen, Rachel Adams, Sean High, Nick Manera. Although the company is relative new, the directors understand the company’s vast potential market and opportunity for growth by the implementation of efficient strategies. 3

I. INDUSTRY ANALYSIS RANDS Inc, which will make diapers that change colors when wet, will be part of the disposable diaper industry. Our two most prominent competitors will be Kimberly- Clark, who makes Huggies, and Procter & Gamble, who makes Luvs and Pampers. The future outlook for this industry is good as the world’s population is on the rise and caregivers are in need of diapers for their babies. Disposable diapers, which are more convenient and more sanitary than traditional cloth diapers, are in high demand, and the industry continues to grow. Last year, the global diaper market sold $24 billion worth of diapers, and for 2011, it is estimated that the entire industry will sell 550 million packages. As people become more environmentally conscious, purchases of disposable diapers could possibly decrease because of the large amount of waste they cause.
