Drama 115,001 PLAY ANALYSIS Spring, 2010 David Adamson, 206 Center for Dramatic Art, adamsond@email.unc.edu Graduate Assistants: Jimmy Kieffer, Kaitlin Smith Text: Bedford Introduction to Drama, The; Fifth Edition; Jacobus, Lee, ed. (4 th Edition also OK) Also: Dept. of Dramatic Art Privilege Card for PlayMakers Repertory Company Productions of OPUS and NICHOLAS NICKLEBY. Grades: There will be three examinations, one paper and periodic class assignments. Each exam and the paper will be worth 20% of the final grade. Students will need to provide answer sheets and pencils for the exams. The scope and subjects for the paper, plus an “Extra Credit” project, will be discussed below. The remaining 20% of the grade will come from a cumulative scoring of periodic assignments and pop quizzes. The final grade for this class is: 96-100 – A; 91-95 – A-; 88-90 – B+; 84-87 – B; 81-83 – B-; etc. See more complete explanation in Blackboard under “Class Documents” Office Hours: Office Hours will be by appointment. Messages can be left in my mailbox at the Center for Dramatic Art. I tend to check my email once in the morning. I am available after the 9:30 class most days.
