Homework 7 is due Thursday, 3/17 in recitation. 2. Quiz in recitation over chapter 26 on 3/17. 3. This week’s recitation will be a discussion of problems from chapter 27. 1 Tests for randomized control experiments We can apply the methods that we used for differences from two independent samples to randomized control experiment. In a randomized control experiment the sample is divided into two groups: treatment and control. For example in a drug trial with a 1,000 subjects, 500 of them are randomly assigned to receive the drug and the rest are given a placebo. The results from the two groups are compared to see whether the treatment is effective. We can apply the two sample z-test as if the two groups are independent simple random samples....
