Homework 7 is due Thursday, 3/17 in recitation. 2. Quiz in recitation over chapter 26 on 3/17. 3. This week’s recitation will be a discussion of problems from chapter 27. 1 Tests for randomized control experiments We can apply the methods that we used for differences from two independent samples to randomized control experiment. In a randomized control experiment the sample is divided into two groups: treatment and control. For example in a drug trial with a 1,000 subjects, 500 of them are randomly assigned to receive the drug and the rest are given a placebo. The results from the two groups are compared to see whether the treatment is effective. We can apply the two sample ztest as if the two groups are independent simple random samples....
