Exam #1 Preparation Physics 211 Spring 2007 Exam #1 is scheduled for next Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at 7:15pm. The exam will be administered in the following rooms: Section 1 – EPS 103 (A-P); and EPS 108 (R-Z). Section 2 - Roberts 101. The exam will be closed book, but a list of relevant equations will be provided. The registrar’s office has reserved these rooms for our class until 9:00pm, so those wishing more time to complete the test may stay until 9:00pm. Greg Francis will be available on Monday evening from 5:00 - 6:00pm in EPS 103 (the lecture room) to answer questions in preparation for Exam #1: The following skills should be mastered in preparation for Exam #1: Know how to convert from one set of units to another. For example, changing miles per hour to m/s. Know the difference between vectors and scalars. Know which quantities are scalar in nature. Know how to add several vectors to find the resultant (sum) vector. Know how to find the difference between two vectors by drawing them tail-to-tail and
