Exam #3 Preparation Physics 211 Spring 2007 Exam #3 is scheduled for this Thursday, April 12, 2007 at 7:15pm. The exam will be administered in the following rooms: Section 1 – EPS 103 (A-P); and EPS 108 (R-Z). Section 2- Roberts 101. The exam will be closed book, but a list of relevant equations will be provided. The registrar’s office has reserved these rooms for our class until 9:00pm, so those wishing more time to complete the test may stay until 9:00pm. Greg Francis will be available on Wednesday evening from 7:00 - 8:00pm in Reid Hall 108 (NOT the lecture room) to answer questions in preparation for Exam #3: The following skills should be mastered in preparation for Exam #3: • You should understand how and when to use the Impulse-Momentum equation. You should also understand where this equation comes from. • You should be able to use conservation of momentum to solve collision problems in one or two dimensions. •
