When thinking about health care and issues with the health care system, one of the first things to come to mind is the fact that drugs in the US are extremely costly. Especially when a person does not have health insurance. However, I had never thought that there could possibly be a shortage of drugs for people who are able and willing to pay for them. This is an extreme problem for the US government to address especially in regards to inflation once a drug is in low supply. In the times we live in today, certain national disasters as well as terrorist threats and attacks are much more likely, a shortage in drugs supply is also a hazard in that regard. The big business aspect of drug companies and the way they distribute them needs to be addressed and changed so that people can benefit from vital drugs and are treated as people in need rather than people who are paying for a product. I was under the impression that even though a child is not born alive, it still would be considered a part of the infant mortality ratio or to be more specific the neonatal death rate. In addition, I was never forced to acknowledge the fact that there are no facilities for mothers and fathers who have lost a child at birth. This is a very traumatizing event that would definitely require some sort of counseling and grief work especially once the mother has passed her first trimester. It was also interesting to
