This is how you calculate your scores on the Big Five according to the test you received in class: 1) Every of your answers receive a point from 1 to 5. The score comes from the answer you already gave except for the reverse key items. All of your answers already have a score, the score you gave the question, except for the reverse keys items. For those you need to reverse the score: So if you put a 1 for one of the reverse key items, you would need to put a 5; instead of a 2 you would put a 4, you basically have to “reverse” the score. The numbers of the reversible items are below. 2) After all of your answers have the right score; you need to add them up according to the scale. The scales are mentioned below. For example: Scale 1 (which stands for extraversion) consists of the items: 1, 6,… and so on, and you need to add up the numbers according to the items that belong to a scale. 3) Now you should have a number for each scale/ or factor/ or personality trait.
