Define Learning - a process that produces a relatively enduring change in behavior or knowledge as a result of past experience. 2. Define Conditioning - the process of learning associations between environmental events and behavioral responses. 3. Classical conditioning - the basic learning process that involves repeatedly pairing a neutral stimulus with a response producing stimulus until the neutral stimulus elicits the same response; also called Respondent or Pavlovian Conditioning ; who are the theorists who studied it - Ivan Pavlov; Ernest Hilgard and D.G. Marquis 4. Define the following terms: UCS - Unconditioned Stimulus - natural stimulus that reflexively elicits a response without the need for prior learning; UCR - Unconditioned Response - unlearned, reflexive response that is elicited by an unconditioned stimulus; CS - Conditioned Stimulus - a formerly neutral stimulus that acquires the capacity to elicit a reflective response .
