Composition-made up of atoms (ex: natural gas) Structure- how the components are held together (the matter will undergo a change) States of matter: 1. Gas-indefinite volume and indefinite shape a. Lots of movement and no attractive force 2. Liquid-average kinetic energy (ke), average attractive force (af) a. Some energy and some movement b. Liquid is the inbetween for gas to solid 3. Solid-it has a definite shape and definite volume a. It has little to no kinetic energy b. Particles are next to each other, not moving or moving very little, BIG ATTRACTIVE FORCE.
