How do brake hydraulics work?. (3 point) Brake Hydraulics use a fluid-filled master and slave cylinders connected by pipes. The fluid flows through pipes when there is pressure put on the brakes. It fills slave cylinders, which forces pistons out. Fluid pressure is distributed evenly throughout the system. The exerted force gets multiplied by the brakes because of the arrangement. b. Describe disc brakes and the importance of friction in their use. (2 points) Disc brakes have disks that turn with the wheel, because hydraulic pistons worked by pressure press on friction pads, clamping on disks from each side in order to stop it.
