1. Relate on how media reporting affects your perception towards COVID-19 phenomenon. (10 marks) COVID-19 has posed a variety of problems for individuals and the public around the world since its introduction and subsequent global expansion. Meanwhile news media outlets provide continuous coverage of the crisis that is unfolding. While it is critical for everyone to have accurate and updated information about COVID-19 spread even to me. The media have been continually reporting across borders to keep everyone informed about the pandemic situation and this has led to my perception of the phenomenon COVID-19. I realized from my perception that Covid-19 is more serious through the media so that unknowingly I became a more self-protective person. For example, Astro Awani is providing lively information on the rate at which Covid-19 spreads and our Prime Minister has stated to stay at home to reduce the spread of the virus.Hence,by living with my family at home and reducing outdoor activity seems to be a healthier way of avoiding illness. It also indicated that I started to care more about my health and were more willing to pursue social support from my family instead of getting together with friends, which suggested that the interests and attention were influenced by the daily updates on media fromhealth authorities and central government 's restricted travel policy. Thus, I use online apps such as Lazada.com, Shoppe.com, Food Panda, Grab food and so on to purchase things as well as food to protect myself from the spreading of the virus. Therefore, the daily number of cases update by media make me more focus on protections. In addition, media information about Covid-19 has pushed me into excessive fear that leads to acute stress, anxiety, and sub-syndrome depression. Media reports have highlighted possible painful deaths and a significant increase in mortality due to COVID-19 infection. When I heard this kind of hurtful news rapidly growing day by day, I really get into anxiety, depression, and stress. Thus,I am really worried about the victims, especially the children who get infected with the virus. For example, news from The Star online media The World Health Organization (WHO) reported that 3,405 people died from coronavirus in Italy, according to Reuters, which means that the country has now reported more deaths than China as a result of the pandemic. This heart-breaking news has pushed me into more depression where I am starting to praise god

a lot that this Covid-19 phenomenon needs to be ended soon to prevent the world from losing a lot. Besides, fake news and misinformation on media has affect my perception toward Covid- 19 phenomena. Social media networks serve as facilitators and multipliers of information and misinformation relevant to COVID-19. Throughout outbreaks and emergencies, there are many concerns that seek urgent responses that are straightforward and reliable. It is hard for me to identify reliable and trustworthy sources for inaccurate or misleading with an overabundance of information in a digital age. For example, I received fake information or statistics about Covid-
