Question #1 How might a company’s preferred recruiting sources differ when it is looking for local retail managers versus doing a national search for managerial talent? Also, provide two examples – one recruiting source for local retail managers and one recruiting source for national managerial talent. Depending on what the organizational needs and wants are depends on the methods that they choose. When looking for a local retail manager an organization and if there is a potential candidate already in the organization that they feel is well suited for the position they may focus succession management, talent inventories, or even employee development. If there is not someone in the organization they may look elsewhere. When that organization changes from a local search to a national search it can use the internet, search firms, or professional associations.
