A multiple hurdles approach is “a scoring approach whereby candidates must receive a passing score on an assessment before being allowed to continue on in the selection process.” (pg. 296) A few advantages is that they meet specific gates while bringing diversified skill sets and backgrounds to the bureau and can find those that are meant to be a part of the team.
