Part 1: Cowan uses the history of the aviation industry to discuss Cold War engineering
and the military-industrial complex. Drawing on this reading and the satellites
documentary, identify three historical examples from the aviation industry that reveal a
distinctive characteristic of Cold War engineering. Write 1-2 sentences for each example

Following the reading and the satellite documentary, one example I find it distinctive is
the illustration on how the military used to manufacture and sell the aircrafts that were used
