Majors Search Exercise
Based on my Strong Interest Inventory test, I am very enterprising, very investigative,
very social, highly realistic, highly conventional, and highly artistic.
I am recommended that my
top five interest areas are Management, Finance & Investing, Taxes & Accounting, Medical
Science, and Sales.
It does not recommend for me to be in the areas of Programming &
Information Systems, Religion & Spirituality, or Computer Hardware & Electronics.
recommends that my top ten occupations are: Credit Manager, Purchasing Agent, Sales Manager,
Physical Therapist, Operations Manager, Nursing Home Administrator, Community Service
Director, Chiropractor, Pharmacist, and Realtor.
All of these occupations and interests all are
business related and are similar majors.
I am interested in Business Economics, Business
Administration, and Communications.
Business Economics is “for students primarily interested in economics but who also
desire a broad background in business.
It helps you understand objectives and functions of a
private enterprise economy, fundamentals of economic analysis, and how to integrate economic
principles with various areas of business administration.” (Miami Bulletin 132)
Economic majors study with theory courses that build analytical skills.
Since there are a lot of
elective opportunities this allows me to pursue a minor or even another major.
