The Top 5 Companies to work for 1. Google - Google is an 11 year old company that provides user with high tech search technology. They are a global technology leader focused on improving the ways people find and use information. They maintain the world’s largest online index of websites and other content by automated search technology which is available to anyone with an internet connection. They had a 2007 revenue of about $16.594 billion and holds a total of 19,593 employees. 12580 of those employees are American employees and the reamaing 7013 employees are outside the United States. They also have 3550 jobs per year and a 40% job growth. However they only have 350 job openings as of January 13, 2009. They have great programs for its employees as well. They have onsite child care, onsite fitness center, a subsidized gym membership, no compressed work week, no job sharing program, and telecommuting. There company is made up of 35% of minorites and 33% of women. Google also has a nondiscrimination policy that includes sexual orientation, as well offers domestic partner benefits for same sex couples. 2. Microsoft- they are a multinationsal computer technology corportation that develops manufactures licenses and supports a wide range of software products for computing devices. They have a 2007 revenue of $ 60.420 billion and employees
