Mike Mesrobian Music 185 B Concert 1 3/6/09 Peking Acrobats The Peking Acrobats show was one of the most incredible performances I have ever seen in my life. Flying through the air, boggling my mind with incredible feats of balance, and operating as a single unit, the acrobats pulled of a spectacle that completely overwhelmed me. By the end of the show, the flying bodies had created a visual symphony, as the awe-inducing feats of athleticism became accents on the tricks. The show was on February 24 th at 7:30pm at Millet Hall. Personally, I don’t think Millet serves as a very effective performance hall because I feel a little too distant from the stage unless sitting in floor seats. Though it is an effective venue for a basketball game, the lack of intimacy in the stadium does not allow me to scrutinize the subtle parts of performances. The stadium was very dark and note taking was nearly impossible, however I did not mind this because the lighting production was excellent. The acrobats
