Evan Brown ENG 112 Leslee Chan 17 April 2011 Creative Explanation I decided to create a collage of Over-The-Rhine that portrays where it started, how the area has diminished and developed. On the left side of the collage are older pictures from the beginning of the neighborhood. These pictures are black and white and give a more vintage, older feel to them. These pictures show German immigrants, in building that look very similar to the ones on the right (most recent) side of the collage. In one of the pictures, there are a three horse drawn wagons. These pictures show a general overlook of the area. It was rather hard to find a picture that was focused on one area or corner. This is because of the rarity of pictures, they were meant to capture big events, big areas or a family. In the middle of the collage there are pictures of Over-The-Rhine from early 2000s, specifically 2001 when there were race riots. These riots were focused around Over-The-Rhine, where a young black male was murdered by a white male police officer. These riots were a
