Polaroid Polaroid, a very innovative company, came out with a product unlike any other; though like a one hit wonder they faded away just as quickly. Though Polaroid is still around today they have had a hard road since their initial entrance into the market place with instant photography. Initially the company did very well with the invention of instant photography which had never before been seen or imagined in the market place, though after their initial entrance the company failed to keep up with the demands of the public. David Whitford states in his article “POLAROID, R.I.P.”, “Technology is restless and ever advancing, as Land himself would be the first to agree” . As we continue to see technology goes through a state of continuous improvement and change. Though the idea was unique and allowed Polaroid to capture value in the market place the constant forward pace of technology left Polaroid continually grasping to come up with the next great invention.
