Good  News in the Daily Grind --- Your Coffee May Have Some Health Perks, but  Can Brew Trouble in People With Certain Conditions Earlier studies also linked coffee consumption with a lower risk of getting colon, mouth, throat, esophageal and endometrial cancers. People who drink coffee are also less likely to have cavities, gallstones, cirrhosis of the liver, Parkinson's disease and Alzheimer's disease, or to commit suicide, studies have found. How much coffee do you drink a day? One cup? Two cups? More? How about caffeinated sodas? According to FDA, it states that Caffeine is consumed in food or as a medicine. it changes the way your brain and body work and changes how you behave and feel. Caffeine is a central nervous system stimulant. Your central nervous system includes your brain, spinal cord, and the other nerves in your body. Today I'd like to give you some of the facts about caffeine and its effects on your body. It may not cause you to change your coffee consumption but at least you'll be better informed about what you are putting into your body. I'm going to talk about the beneficial effects of caffeine, the negative effects and discuss what are considered safe levels of caffeine consumption. Let's start with the good news. FDA confirms that Caffeine is the most widely consumed central  nervous system stimulant in the world. It is present naturally in the beans, leaves, and fruit of certain  plants, including coffee, tea, cacao, kola, guarana, and yerba mate. Caffeine-containing foods or  beverages are consumed regularly by approximately 90% of the United States population, including  children  That's why people drink it, right? Caffeine is thought to reduce road accidents by keeping drivers alert and wakeful, caffeine also contains antioxidants
