Character Qualities for Corrington Clay For my report, I interviewed my mother, Lachelle Clay, and my current employer, Mrs. Carolyn Partida. I asked them what they believed to be my strongest character qualities. Their responses to the question were determination, endurance, gratefulness, punctuality, flexibility, initiative, and attentiveness. Character is “one of the attributes or features that make up and distinguish an individual” according to Merriam-Webster. The remainder of the report will go further in depth on each of these character qualities and how they have distinguished me as an individual. The first person that I interviewed for this report was my mother. She found it rather easy to pick character qualities that described me from the list that she was given. She listed several qualities, but the three that she narrowed it down to were endurance, determination, and gratefulness. “I admire Cory’s endurance and determination. He has strived to be very focused on his studies going back to high school” (Clay). I believe that employers value endurance because it shows that their potential employee will not just quit and they will do whatever is necessary to complete the job and see it through until the end. The definition of determination is “firm or fixed intention to achieve a desired end” according to Merriam-Webster. I believe that my parents taught me how to be determined. They always told me that I could do anything that I put my mind to. And from that moment on, I have been putting one hundred percent into everything that I have done. Determination is a very crucial quality to have in the workforce and also in everyday life. All jobs, as well as day-to-day situations, will not be easy, but my determination to do quality work and complete tasks in a reasonable amount of time will make me an asset to any company. The second person that I interviewed was my current employer, Mrs. Carolyn Partida. I am
