Corrington Clay 4/27/11 10 am Student initiated letter Letter of appreciation April 27, 2011 Leon and Lachelle Clay 6722 Park Haven San Antonio, TX 78244 Dear Mom and Dad: This semester in class I was given an assignment to write a letter of appreciation to anyone who has encouraged, assisted, or helped me in any way. I felt that it was only fitting to write this letter to my parents. You all have encouraged, assisted, and helped me in more ways than you could ever imagine. Dad, for as long as I can remember I have looked up to, and admired you. When I look at you, I see the man that I want to be. As I have grown up, I see how much work has to be done to support an entire family. For that, you have my utmost respect. You have taught me that I can do anything that I put forth effort to do. Instilling qualities such as hard work and determination in my brothers and I, has made us better young men. So dad, thank you for everything. You lead by example and you are a shining example of what it means to be a real

Without your help and guidance, I do not know where I would be. You have taught me some very important life skills that I probably did not appreciate at the time. But now that I see how valuable that information is in our society, I am eternally grateful. You taught me to always be respectful and to also be grateful for everything that anyone does for you because they did not have to do it. You gave me all of the love that I needed and you were even hard on me when I needed that. I have grown into a respectable, responsible, and polite young man and I owe that to you. So mom, thank you for being the strong person that I needed in my life. I love you and I don’t know what I would do without you.
