Homework 2 Practice Exam 2 Wednesday, April 13 1.) If a pea plant has the genotype PpTTHhGGCC, what gamete genotypes does it produce, and in what frequencies? Key: Sample answer 1/4 PTHGC 1/4 PThGC 1/4 pTHGC 1/4 pThGC Grading rubric For full credit (2 points), all 4 genotypes and frequencies must be correct. There should be ONLY 4 genotypes listed. This question is all-or-none: if any of the genotypes or frequencies listed are wrong, award 0 points. 2.) In the plant Silene dioica, most flowers are pink but white flowers occur at lower proportions. Pink flower color (P) is dominant over white (p). Flower color is linked to leaf hairs, with hairy leaves (H) dominant over smooth leaves (h). Both genes are autosomal. An F1 plant with genotype PH/ph undergoes self-fertilization. Assuming no crossing over: a) List the genotypes of the gametes produced after meiosis (use linkage notation), and their frequency. b) What are the expected genotype and phenotype classes and their ratios in the F2?

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
