A process flow chart is a diagram that shows arrangement and classification of steps in producing the product or service. The make to stock strategy produce standard products and services for immediate sale or delivery. Assemble to order strategy produces standard components that can be combined to customers specifications. Make to order strategy produces products to customer specifications after an order has been received (Reid, & Sanders, 2010). I will discuss the different strategies for purchasing a computer from Compaq. Compaq Computer Corporation is a leading global provider of enterprise technology and solutions. EDI is a form of computer to commuter communications standardized for sharing business documents such as invoices, purchase orders, shipping bills and product stocking number. EDI would be useful because it would allow the customer receive his product back quicker that he is special ordering inside the store. Because once the order is transmitted they can start to build the computer immediately.
