Unformatted text preview: After looking over the diagram you can see the different characteristics which these disabilities have in common and do not share. Learning disability shares a common characteristic with the other two which is attention and concentration problems. Students with these disorders have a hard time focusing on what need to be done. Their attention span is short which may leads to their mind wandering off to different things when they are supposed to be doing classwork. Deprived school work is shown with students who have a learning disability and mental retardation. Students with this disability have a tough time keeping their grades up. This leads to poor grades. Poorly coordinated is another symptom of learning disability their eye and hand coordination is reduced. A learning disability is a neurological disorder that affects one or more of the basic psychological processes involved in understanding or in using spoken or written language.
