Instructional Technology Assistive and instructional technology is a general term for any device that helps a child in the learning process. The technology helps a child overcome specific obstacles to learning and assists them in working with their strengths. It is available in a variety of forms and may be incorporated into a student's individualized educational plan (IEP) (Cook, 2010).
