Impacts on Carnival Cruise Line From Covid-19Page 2AbstractThis strategy in action paper will discuss the negative impact on Carnival Cruise Lines from COVID-19 and the development of some strategies to help them reinvent themselves so that they can regain the business they have lost during these hard times. This paper will discuss three strategies specifically to help them reinvent themselves and then give recommendations to the board of Carnival Cruise Lines on how to get the company back on track and help them progress. The three strategies that will be expanded upon in this paper for Carnival Cruise Lines will be, Carnival utilizing their ships as centers to help patients of COVID-19, using future promotions and deals to get people to book now at great prices for when this is all over and lastly, invest in the islands they use for destinations to help them get better as well. An article sourced for this paper talked about Carnival Cruise Lines pressuring the islands to open early for the vacationers to be able to use the islands but a better strategy for Carnival Cruise Lines could be investing in these destinations to help them get better as well to help them open sooner and bebetter to give a better experience to everyone including the islanders as well.
Impacts on Carnival Cruise Line From Covid-19Page 3Many businesses around the world have been impacted negatively by the dreadful COVID-19. The travel/vacation agencies are no stranger. The emphasis in curing this virus is that people stay away from each other because of how contagious it is and how easy it spreads. So you can see how this would hurt these industries especially the very well-known Carnival Cruise Lines. Carnival Cruise Lines is the definition of get away vacation and fun but the close quarters of sometimes 2000 plus people on one ship can be frowned upon during these times. It is very easy to see why people wouldn’t want to go on cruises right now. This paper will discuss some strategies on how to keep Carnival Cruise Lines progressing during these very uncertain times.The first strategy is Carnival opening their ships to help battle COVID-19. This would be an Institutionalized change for Carnival so this would need to start with the top at Carnival.
