I. Halogen Reactions Exp. 11 Date Performed: 4/7/11 Name: Breanna Jameson Date Submitted: 4/14/11 Chemistry 1045L-35 Tong Chen II. Purpose In this lab we are learning about the property of electronegativity, which contributes to the reactivity of molecules. Also we will be learning about concepts of polarity and solubility from reactions with halogens. We learn that the existence of an electronegative atom in a molecule is required for it to be polar and its solubility is dependent on its polarity. Therefore, by learning this concept we can then make predictions about a molecule’s solubility.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
