Dr. Collins Jones Biotechnology Program Room 421 HTSC Montgomery College 240-567-1910 BT 117 Cell Culture and Cell Funtion Germantown, MD [email protected] Feeding and Passage of Sf9 Cells©2010 BSMaT SOP#: BT117.SF9001 Revison: 1.0 Title: Retrieval, Thawing and Seeding of Sf9 Cells from a Working Cell Bank 1.0 Purpose This protocol describes the protocol for the retrieval, thawing and seeding of an Sf9 cell culture from a Working Cell Bank. 2.0 Scope This protocol is applicable only to Sf9 cells maintained in the Working Cell Bank created for the Biotechnology Program at Montgomery College. This protocol does not apply to any cell line except Sf9 cells. This protocol is not applicable to Sf9 cells or any cell line which may be a biohazard (e.g. primate cells).
