Nolan Bradshaw Nutrition 100 Brown Group 109 11/15/2010 Division of Responsibility The Division of Responsibility in a way is just providing a child with a healthy environment and relationship with food. The division of responsibility may not seem natural according to the many ways parents teach their children how to eat. Most parents might “force or push” their child into eating more or else. This is the wrong way to go about teaching your child eating amounts. Your child will grow up to get the body that is right for them. In a way “children know how much they need to eat.” Meaning the body will instinctively tell them when they are hungry or when they are full. Let your child choose they amounts that they want. The child needs to learn eating amounts on their own so they can have their own “sensitivity” to “internal sensations” and not someone else’s sensations or lack thereof. There are a few things parents do need to control or provide though. First is to provide the child with structured meal times that are good for everyone. Structured meal
