St Dev 239 3/18/2011 Self Assessment Paper It has been a interesting path in pursuing my dream of getting into medical school. I have always been interested in health care but I have not always wanted to go to medical school. My first 2 years of college I was just planning on going into nursing and when it came time to start applying for nursing schools for some reason I felt I needed to go farther and do more school. The next choice after nursing school was of course medical school. Planning on nursing school first kind of put me a little behind just because they have different prerequisites. But now planning on medical school is really exciting but it looks like it is going to be a really long road and a good challenge. This will be good because then when you know you are pushing and stretching yourself then you learn so much more. And that is what caught me initial attention into medical school and I am now on the path to get there. As for GPA part of my assessment I feel as of right now I am doing pretty good, but of course it could always be better. Right now I have around a 3.6. that’s after 3 years of college. I have about another year and a half left. I was able to keep a 4.0 for 3 semesters, then the classes started to get a bid harder. My GPA usually drops a little bit each semester now since I am in harder classes
