Cause-related Marketing A commercial partnership between a for-profit and a  non-profit organization, that associates the non- profit’s identity with a brand, product or service.   The transaction (e.g. purchase) yields value to both  parties while benefiting a worthy cause.  The non-profit organization gains a valuable source  of funding and membership while gaining awareness  of its purpose.  The for-profit organization gains sales, positive  brand association and expands its customer base.
