EXAM REVIEW How does the process of rush-bid-pledgeship-initiation function to  constitute a frat as a social group? The way that they do it ritually every year and get together and discuss potential  members. They go through the exact process every year. When rushes are  invited for pledgeship bid and they can deny it if they accept they become a  pledge for months and they have to do dirty work around the house it is similar to  military boot camp. They then have to do secret ceremonies and they finally get  initiated into the fraternity.  Mitigation: Act of making something less severe The way the guys speak to others will gage their mitigation. Someone would not  speak to someone older than them the same way they would speak to someone  younger.  In the end, what conclusion does Kiesling draw about “preferred” gender  identity and power?  How is this different than it is for women?
