PRINTING Direct Printing Print that lies directly on a white cloth or fabric The pigment sits on top of the fabric Discharge Print Chemical is applied to the fabric to remove the pigment /color to form the design Removes the color underneath the color to form the design  Expensive type of printing $30 dollar t-shirt Screen Printing The pigment or dye goes through a fine synthetic screen Most common most  Least expensive Screen with a  design on it and they put ink on it and it transfers the machine and  that’s how dye is put on the shirts Literally looks like a screen door Each screen can only apply one color, only screen one color at time Engraved Roller Printing Uses a steel cylinder and has an engraving on the steel cylinder One color per steel cylinder
