Problem Definition Purpose The following will explain the process on how the manufacturing processes and system utilization will be improve to get better output from the existing operations by studying the current ways of doing the day to day operations, and then come up with a more efficient way to produce the same quality product in less time with minimal or as little as possible extra stress on the budget. Lists of Stakeholders The stakeholders include the IT department, all shipping and inventory clerks, all shipping and inventory supervisors and managers, senior management, vendor alliances, and ultimately, the customers of the company. Additional stakeholders will be identified as the automation process is developed further. Specific systems within Riordan’s inventory and manufacturing processes that could be improved The major problem with Riordan’s manufacturing processes is that they have three of their major plants in three completely separate locations.
