Which paragraph(s) is each major division made up of? There are three major divisions. Paragraph 2-5 Paragraph 6-14 Paragraph 15-21 4. Look for the key sentence in the essay that block out the main flow of ideas in the essay. If the author states the thesis, what paragraph does it appear in? Copy the thesis. Animals can be courageous Does the author provide key sentences to sum up the major divisions of the essay? If so, in what paragraphs do they appear? Copy the key sentences.
