Physics Labs FAQ Q: May I resubmit a lab for a better grade? A: No, you may not. You have one shot at each lab report. Q: What’s with these Manual Addendums? A: The lab manual was written several years ago, and it predates some of the equipment and techniques currently in use. The manuals are in the process of being revised to bring them in line with current practices, but in the mean time the addendums have been written and posted as corrections to the manual. It is imperative that you read both the manual and the addendum, as the addendum represents changes to the manual and cannot stand alone. Q: How many labs can I miss? A: Five missing lab reports (or a final average below 30%) is an F. Labs assigned a grade of 0 are counted as missing labs Q: How many labs may I make up during makeup week? A: You may make up no more than two labs in a semester without expressed permission of the lab supervisor. Made up labs are not counted as missing labs. Q: I missed my lab this morning. May I make it up later today? Will this count as a make up? A: It is preferred that you make up your lab during the same week that it is being done by all the students. If you miss a lab, every effort should be spent to get it done during that lab week. If you make up the lab during the week that it is taught, it is not counted as a made-up lab. The makeup
