II. Purpose: The purpose of this experiment is to teach the students how to change solutions to either make them more basic or more acidic. They will learn how to dilute solutions and work with partners. Procedure: The only difference found in the procedure written in the lab notebooks and what was done in the lab is that students will work in groups of two. One student will work with a base while the other works an acid. They will work with each other to dilute the solutions. Data: Acid Table Concentration of acid after each dilution Experiment pH of each dilution Theoretical pH of each dilution Percent error in the pH value 6.026 x 10^-5 4.22 1.903 -121.8% 3.458 x 10^-7 6.45 2.903 -122.2% .0251 1.6 3.903 59% .0107 1.97 4.903 59.8% Base Table Concentration of base after each dilution Experiment pH of
