Bond Polarity The greater the difference in electronegativity between two atoms, the more polar their bond. Ex) Which bond is more polar, B—Cl or C —Cl? Polar molecules should have: 1. polar bonds 2. geometry that allows for polar-ness Ex) Are the individual bonds in PCl 5 polar? Is the molecule as a whole is polar?
