Effects of Working While in High School -not getting enough rest - having more pocket money -getting lower grades -not socializing with friends -learning more responsibility/gaining job experience Thesis: Working while in high school has both positive and negative effects. Paragraph 1. Students who work while in high school can experience some positive changes. First, they have more pocket money; for example, my friend Bill was able to pay for his own gas and lunches with the money he earned from his part-time job. In addition, students can learn about responsibility and gain job experience. For instance, my friend Bob worked in a law office because he wants to be a lawyer. His understanding of how a law office works was increased by his part-time job experience. Paragraph 2. On the other hand, there can also be negative effects of working while in high school. For example, people who work while in school may not get enough rest; as a result, they
