Evan Brown KNH 130 K Allison Raguse 7 April 2011 Assignment 1 Defensive Ceiling Ball : At 0:18 the player in black has to go to his knees to hit the ball, he knows he needs time to get up so he hits a ceiling ball and puts the white player in the back of the court. As the ball bounces high and slow, the black player moves to the middle of the court. Z Ball : At 0:40 the white player hits a backhanded z ball when he is up near the serving line that bounces to the back of the court. This gives the white player ample time to get to center court and two shots later he wins the point. Offensive Kill Shot: At 0:34 the white player goes for a kill shot when he is close to the wall and has a slow low bouncing set up shot. This doesn’t work for him because the black player sees it coming and

The black player returns this successfully because it was a foot or two away from the wall and did not have a well-positioned bounce. In response to David Ondrula, the video he chose has a lot of straight line shots that are delivered to the kill zone. The one he mentions at 1:02 is where the white player gets the point on a well angled shot to the kill zone. The offensive pinch shot that David mentions at 0:37 sounds like a good idea but the unpredictability didnt work out very well, it was a simple shot that came directly back from where it was hit....
