Who here just really loves doing, (click) research? That’s about what I thought. But why? Why is it that in this age of information no one likes to research it? Perhaps it is because every time we dare to ask a question, this happens. (click) Information Overload. Our world is becoming so full of information that it is actually getting harder to find the answers to the questions we have. In fact, according to IBM, within the next few years, the world supply of data is going to double every 11 hours. So today we are going to talk about where all this information is coming from, how we store it, and what is being done about Information Overload. So where does all this information come from? Well the main places are from industries, governments, and you, a computer using consumers. (click) Computers have worked wonders on industries and businesses. They can scan in product drawings (click), design things in 3D (click), and gather testing data (click). Businesses also love being able to store and track finical data (click).
