3.a. In analyzing the websites of both HSBC and Ford Motor Co., I determined that each site addresses its globalization strategies in different but great ways. I was particularly drawn to HSBC’s distinct characterization of what they do. I feel that they sufficiently utilize the website to market, service and as a PR tool. Through the HBSC website I was able to link to a full range of international services and offered the benefit of managing them from anywhere in the world. This strategy insured me that this offering met my needs and preferences came while not alienating HSBC’s existing distribution channels; and they spanned a massive geographic range. I read that a key part of HSBC’s strong market position in cash management is the flexibility of electronic delivery using Internet-enabled, file transfer or personal computers, as best suits the client concerned.
