Unformatted text preview: Misfolded proteins may be pumped (by retrograde translocation ) from the ER into the cytosol to be degraded by proteasomes, pumped into the ER by TAP, and loaded onto class I MHC molecules. Mostly done by DCs, in presenting extracellular antigens on class I MHC to activate CD8 T cells. Class I MHC molecules on the cell surface can cycle into endosomal compartments and loaded with antigen there. (Todays paper) HLA-DO inactivates HLA-DM in the thymus & B cells...
